What brand(s) of kitty litter do you use for your felines? I use Swheat Scoop litter in the regular litter boxes, and World's Best Cat Litter (Extra Strength) in the automatic litter boxes. When we got Bernie 9 years ago as a tiny baby it was important to me to find a natural, environmentally-friendly cat litter. We tried Feline Pine (the pellets), but Bernie evidently did not like the feel of the pellets on his paws. For a while we used Field Fresh litter which is corn-based, but the local store which sold it closed and we have used Swheat Scoop ever since.  When we added the automatic litter boxes Swheat Scoop didn't clump hard enough, so we added World's Best for those boxes. Our kitties don't seem to have a preference between either litter.

I had the worst time getting my cat to use the litter box when we moved.  He would actually go to the litter box, but just do his business outside of it!

The vet recommended Amitrptyline for anxiety (because of the move).  It worked..and I haven't noticed any side effects.

It isn't very expensive, and I use the coupons from http://1800petmedscoupon.com to save even more money.
