    Let me add a word of warning to this post, trying to do a alfa roll on any thing other then a puppy gets many people bit in the face.  No one unless they are an experienced dog handler should ever try that on their own dog.

    No, but if you think about it, leather is made out of animal hide and not meant to float around in water.

    You can buy an e-collar with the pager function, when you press the pager button the dog will feel a vibration.  Starting with the dog on a leash, press the pager and when the dog looks at you, reward it with a treat.  Once the dog is consistant on a leash, you can put it on a long line and start working on distance.  For example, 3 ...
